Contracts for the long-awaited Paphos Marina at Potima in Kissonerga are expected to be signed in January 2027, according to government sources cited in an original report by Phileleftheros.
The update was provided in response to renewed concerns in Paphos about possible delays affecting the major coastal infrastructure project.
January 2027 Remains the Target
Government sources said the project’s preparatory programme was established after the relevant legal obstacles had been resolved. From the beginning, that programme identified January 2027 as the target for signing the contracts.
According to the report, no additional obstacles or unexpected issues have emerged. Preparations are continuing according to the established timetable, with the authorities aiming to have everything ready for the expected signing.
The announcement concerns the anticipated contract-signing milestone. It does not mean that the contracts have already been executed or that construction has begun.
Planned as the Largest Marina in Cyprus
The proposed marina is planned for Potima Bay in Kissonerga and is expected to accommodate approximately 1,000 boats. The development is also intended to include substantial infrastructure on land.
